Read What Patients say:
"In March this year I had surgery to remove bags from my lower eyes. My surgeon at BUPA Hospital Leeds, (now Spire Leeds Hospital), recommended upper and lower eye surgery. I am pleased with the results, but I feel that anyone thinking of having any form of surgery should investigate thoroughly".
Joan Gosney

"Since my surgery, I feel like a different woman! I am much more confident in myself and around others".

Make sure you choose the right team of professionals!
How do I choose a surgeon?
As a private patient, you are able to choose the surgeon you would like to treat you. You’ll need to give yourself time to research potential surgeons’ qualifications, reputation and experience. The following tips may be helpful to bear in mind:
-
Check whether the surgeon has just FRCS – which all surgeons have – or if they have FRCS (Plast) which is a further qualification in plastic surgery
-
Check whether the surgeon is on the GMC (General Medical Council) specialist register by telephoning the GMC’s registration helpline: 0845 357 3456
-
Ask what experience the surgeon has in performing your procedure: how many operations have they performed, how do they measure their results, and what proportion of patients need corrective surgery?
-
Check whether the surgeon is a member of a professional organisation such as BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) or BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons).
-
Find out if you can speak to some of your surgeon’s previous patients that have had the operation you are considering.
